High Season

Summer begins with hot days of up to 35 °C between June and August. The lodging is overflowing, so it is recommended to reserve a few weeks before. The prices are very high, as well as the amount of tourists. They are the leading months of outdoor festivals and concerts.

Shoulder Season

Warm and sunny in these very busy months (April-June, September-October) occasional rain or hot and humid winds. The sea is warmer in autumn than in spring, outdoor activities in coastal areas are an excellent option. Holy Week is a wonderful time to be in Malta.

Low Season

From November to February the low season reduces tourism and prices in general. Temperatures in November and December average from 12 °C to 18 °C. January and February are the coldest winds in the northeast occasionally interrupting ferry service. Christmas to New Year prices rise and local tourists increase their participation.

Your travel to Malta has about 30% the climate impact as your entire yearly budget of CO₂ emissions. This "yearly climate-compatible budget" sets the limit of emissions any person should produce in order to keep global warming to below 2C at about 2 tons of CO2. It includes anything from heating to stay warm and cosy in winter, your daily hot showers, the annoying commute to work, any traveling you do, the production of your yummy food and products you buy – and much more you emit by living your life.
